Financial Markets Excellence Awards

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about registration, nominations, judging, confidentiality, voting and the gala.

What are the Financial Market Excellence Awards?

FMEA is a permanent awards platform recognising excellence, innovation and leadership across financial markets, treasury, brokerage and financial technology.

Who organizes the awards?

The awards are organized by UAE Financial Markets Association. The 2026 edition is associated with the 6th GCC Financial Markets & Treasury Conference.

Can an organization enter multiple categories?

Yes. Each selected category requires category-specific information and evidence, and each entry is evaluated independently.

Is registration the full nomination?

No. Registration allows UAE FMA to understand the organization and intended categories. Eligible applicants proceed to the formal nomination submission process.

What evidence is expected?

Claims should be supported by quantitative evidence, performance metrics, executive verification and redacted supporting documentation. The primary nomination dossier should be a searchable PDF up to 15MB.

How are entries judged?

Entries are assessed against a standardized 100-point framework covering performance, innovation, execution and market impact.

What is the minimum winning score?

A category winner must achieve at least 75/100. If no entry reaches the threshold, the judging panel may withhold the award for that year.

How are conflicts of interest handled?

Judges must declare conflicts before receiving dossiers. Qualifying relationships within the preceding 24 months require recusal from the relevant category.

How will voting work?

Voting details, eligible categories, voting period and participation guidelines will be announced in due course.

When are winners announced?

Winners for the 2026 edition are announced during the GCC FMT Gala Dinner on 20 November 2026 in Dubai, UAE.
